1956 feet of Hwy 169 road frontage, close to the commercial area known as “the Y store”.  New businesses have opened along Hwy 169.  “The Y store” is at the key intersections to Cook, Tower, Ely, Lake Vermilion and Fortune Bay Resort, Casino and the Wilderness Golf Course. 

The land is zoned MUNS-4 which allows for Commercial and Residential Use with Road Frontage sub-dividable to a minimum of 4.5 acre parcels. Old Hwy 169 runs the interior of the land and serves as Easy Access along the length of the land for Camping, Hiking, Skiing, Hunting, Mountain Biking, and ATV use.  Presently the Snowmobile Club maintains the area with permission to use the drive for Snowmobiling.  The use as such is at the sole discretion of the owner of the land and can be discontinued with seasonal advance notice.  Several property lines have been brushed out for easy hiking and access to the land boundaries.  An additional Trail leads to the high (1450 feet elevation) central area of the land. 

A forest road known as the Peyla forest road is at the south of the parcel, and runs to the east and northeast.  It is accessed off Hwy 169.  The Peyla Road extends far into tax forfeited lands and is used for logging.  The State land is used recreationally for many purposes including Hunting, Snowmobiling, Skiing, Hiking and ATV use.

The land topography is rolling with high ledge rock outcroppings as well as low areas, topographically interesting with transitional wildlife zones.  There is an excellent variety of trees both Evergreen and Deciduous including Poplar, Maple, Birch, White and Red Pine, Balsam Fir and Spruce.  The land is excellent for Deer Hunting.
